RARE EP SLEEVE
Mickey Baker & Sylvia Vanderpool had been cutting records together since 1951 when they waxed some sessions for Savoy and Jubilee Records. They had their breakthrough in January of 1957 with the song "Love Is Strange."
They spent all of their early career together with the RCA label group, first on their Grove subsidiary, then with a few releases on Vik in 1957-'58 before being moved onto RCA proper.
This EP came out in January of 1957. It had their hit song “Love Is Strange” paired with “I’m Going Home,” “Walkin’ In The Rain,” and No Good Lover.” It’s impossibly rare – and I’m hoping that YOU HAVE THE RECORD ! THIS IS THE JACKET ONLY HERE. I’ve given up on finding the record – so it’s out on the block to find a new home and hopefully get matched up. This is EGA-18, and is on Groove Records.
