Matrix : NSPL 18281 A1 / B1 Issue : UK Complete 1st Press
This is a UK 1st Press of ‘Oh Really!' by Mike Cooper. This press is complete with the earliest A1/B1 matrix, the earliest blue Pye label, the plain inner sleeve and laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl on each side has a sensational high gloss, with no whitening of the grooves or obvious wear at all, just a couple very light wispy marks on both sides. The Pye labels are completely clean. The blue is bold and the text is sharp and there is light spindle wear.
The sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and from the moment it begins it is exceptionally rich and vibrant. There are moments of very light noise but there is still superb clarity and separation.
The laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The red is vivid, the black is bold, the laminate has a sensational gloss and the whole sleeve is completely flat. There is just a little opening edge wear and the the slightest discolouration on the rear of the sleeve. The white is still however extremely bright, the text is sharp and the pictures are perfect. The whole sleeve is solid and the earliest pinched spine is firm with sharp text.
