MIKE COOPER / IAN ANDERSON - The Inverted World ORIG Saydisc Matchbox SDM 159 (UK, 1969)
Happy to present this very rare split artist LP from Saydisc’s Matchbox Blues series - one side for each artist and recorded between December 1966 and May 1968.
The front laminated E.J Day single sleeve has survived pretty well - the front laminate is excellent, not peeled with no lift and just a small, barely visible bit of sticker residue top right. The rear shows some ring impression with some light staining to the top right corner. Add to this a little rippling to this side and two grazes to the middle area and overall this grades a solid VG (Very Good) with no splits, writing, tears, edge wear and a strong spine.
The rough textured labels are in fine shape with no writing, stickers, tears, residue or damage. Hardly any discernible spindle trails.
The heavy sharp vinyl is in superb shape on the Mike Cooper side with only one faint scuff stopping a Mint- grade, no other marks and maximum shine. A definite EX+ (Excellent Plus). The Ian Anderson side is still strong but shows a small scratch mark at the end of track 5 which causes some loud pops. Add to this a little scuffing around the beginning of the side and it comes in at a proper VG+ (Very Good Plus) with the occasional light tick.
