Promo copy of this monsta garage punk LP recorded in 1966 by this Brisbane based outfit. It also contains the scarce original insert that went with early copies. (see scan) It fully deserves it’s reputation of being one of the premier garage/beat/punk Lp’s of it’s decade with a great mix of originals (Just a Poor Boy; You’re Back Again; Love Talk) with fine coves of That’s When Happiness Began (Montanas); You Stole My Love (Mockingbirds); Diddy Wa Diddy (Bo Diddly) Mercy Mercy (Don Covay) If You Need Me (Wilson Pickett) Take This Hammer (Leadbelly) It’s Gonna Work out Fine (Ike & Tina) and Mailman (Buddy Holly)
Condition wise, the front cover had a cut about 5 inches long above the photo and years ago I put some non bleeding sticky tape inside to stop it going further also there’s no laminate above the cut. Maybe it’s VG+. The back is EX+. A name sticker that has since been removed has bled around its edges into the labels. They’re VG. The (a) side vinyl is M-. The (b) side has a couple of short feeble microlines, one of which causes a little light clicking at the beginning of the first track. Nothing annoying or very serious. It’s around VG+. The insert is EX+. A great rare 60’s garage workout that presents well and sounds great. If you doubt me- U Tube will confirm it,
CONDITION WISE:
MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: Slight signs of having been played, no lessening of sound quality. Cover, label, extras are good.
VERY GOOD: Played quite a few times, no real deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras slight amount of wear and tear.
GOOD: Showing some wear and tear. Reasonable, playable sound. No major defects in record, cover, label, extras.
FAIR: Sound quality deteriorated. Cover, label, extras display folding, scuffing, marks
