A WORK HUGELY INFLUENCED BY THE CONTEMPORARY MINIMALIST COMPOSERS (AND THEIR USE OF SHIFTING REPETITIVE PHRASES AND SLOW BUILDS), ESPECIALLY TERRY RILEY'S "A Rainbow In Curved Air" WHICH OLDFIELD HAS SITED AS A MAJOR INSPIRATION

PRESSED ON MID/HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL WITH THE FIRST ISSUE BLACK & WHITE VIRGIN LABELS

THE ALBUM IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE BEAUTIFULLY GLOSSY AND DEEPLY LAMINATED SLEEVE "Printed and made by the E. J. Day Group, London and Bedford"
COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL PLAIN WHITE INNER SLEEVE WITH UK PATENT NUMBER AND "MADE IN ENGLAND" TEXT PRINTED IN BLUE
LABELS: NEAR MINT
if not better as I can see no spindle traces and the labels are clean, fresh and unmarked
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT++
Both surfaces retain their original deep glossy sheen and are unmarked under normal light with just some wispy light hairlines visible under bright light
VINYL Audio: EXCELLENT+
Outstanding audio performance throughout with a crystal clear, deep, rich, warm and finely detailed sound. There are some occasional random soft clicks but only one or two of these rise above background level (not unexpected with this pressing but nothing I found at all intrusive) otherwise, no other audible distractions of any kind and this must rank as one of the cleanest sounding first pressings I have heard. Very, very strictly graded (as always) at loud volume and in all honesty I think a finer copy would be pretty hard to find
SLEEVE: NEAR MINT
A beautiful example - as crisp, sharp and fresh as the day it was made with no evident wear to the edges or spine and a deep, deep glossy sheen to its laminated surfaces
