Description
For auction is MILES DAVIS "At Carnegie Hall,"CL 1812, MONO, 1961. Red-6-Eye Promo. With Hank Mobley, Wynton Kelly, others.
SOUND: VG+ or better
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, the playback is great, with only very minor surface noise audible here or there. In general, solid, sharp sound on this nice playback!
VINYL: VG/VG+
There are routine light scuffs or hairline marks either side, including one long one on side A. Under close examination, these all appear superficial, though. The labels are very nice, "promo'" red-six-eye edition, very clean, but with some faint spindle marks. The record absolutely plays a notch better than it looks!
JACKET: VG+
Edges and spine are solid and good condition, corners have routine bumps/wear. Front cover is very clean and unmarked with minimal, routine wear. The back has a "demo" stamp, and a tiny bit of paper missing upper left corner, otherwise clean and good condition.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A very nice all-around copy! No reserve, bidding starts at $18.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
