Description
An original 1970 US 1st press copy of Miles Davis - Bitches Brew. Released as a 2 x LP on the red Columbia 2 eye label, this is a Pitman Pressing. The matrix endings are 1A/1D/1A/1A - see photos.
Degritter cleaned, both records are spotlessly clean and retaining good gloss. One fine scuff on each side of Record One ( Pharoah's Dance/Bitches Brew) but nothing that affects the sound quality. Clean labels and spindle holes - graded VG+.
Playback reveals superb sound, blistering, atmospheric & extremely dynamic. There is some low background noise audible, mainly between tracks, but no jumping or sticking - the vinyl behaves as it should.
The gatefold sleeve is quite worn. Both leaves are partially split along top and bottom seams and the spine is heavily degraded. There is ringwear to the outer facings plus foxing to the interior facings.
A original 1st US pressing - very hard to find in the UK.
