The 1958 Jazz Track LP compilation is made up of two unrelated studio sessions. The first side is devoted to ten songs composed by Miles Davis for the soundtrack to the French film L'Ascenseuer Pour l'Echafaud, with pianist René Urtreger, tenor saxophonist Barney Wilen, bassist Pierre Michelot, and drummer Kenny Clarke joining the trumpeter. The second side represents the May 26, 1958, studio session with Bill Evans, John Coltrane, and Cannonball Adderley. The softly stated treatment of "On Green Dolphin Street," with Davis' muted trumpet, Evans' impeccable accompaniment, and Jimmy Cobb's tasteful brushwork is masterful, though Adderley and Coltrane quickly shatter that mood following their respective entrances. The waltz-time treatment of "Fran Dance" (Davis' recasting of "Put Your Little Foot Right Out") is fine, though the clear highlight of the record is the gorgeous arrangement of "Stella by Starlight," which Adderley sits out.

Bidding: All questions should be asked prior to bidding, including any packing/shipping questions. We do not end our auctions early - please do not ask.
Payment: We expect payment within 7 days of auctions close. If you will not be able to make payment within this time frame, please do NOT bid. Sometimes exceptions can be made, providing you contact us prior to bidding. If you are waiting for an additional auction of ours to close, in order to combine shipping and payment, this is of course fine - we simply ask that you let us know that, ASAP.
In accordance with eBay's new policies, we can now only accept Paypal as a form of payment.
Shipping: We ship once a week - Friday morning. Paid items are packed Wednesday & Thursday. Therefore, we recommend prompt payment to insure same-week shipping and thus the fastest possible delivery. We schedule our auctions to close on Sundays and Mondays, in order to provide ample time for payment. Please be aware that items paid for AFTER Thursday morning will most likely ship the Friday of the following week.
All domestic and international shipping is done through the USPS, unless otherwise specified. GRR cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged by the USPS. Winning bidders are welcome to purchase insurance. Domestic Insurance (ie. - within the USA) rates are as follows, for more info check the USPS website.

We pack our items carefully. LP's are removed from jackets, packed in sturdy cardboard mailers specifically designed for LPs, and secured with bubble wrap and other insulation. Double-boxing is available upon request, though additional charges for materials and weight will apply.
We are happy to combine multiple items in a single shipment. Again, if you are a winning bidder, please let us know if your waiting for an additional auction to close before shipping. Additional shipping charges for single LPs are $.50 each/media, $2 each/priority or $3 each/international. Limit 3 single LPs for international shipping. Does not include dbl LPs or box sets.
