Description

First released in 1957 with the "sailboat" cover which was withdrawn later that same year and replaced with the second cover as seen here. The record is the original 1st press 6-eye deep groove label. Side one appears flawless but side two has a small rub mark that does not increase surface noise or ticks. Very low level surface noise throughout, typical of vinyl formulations of the period. Sound is crisp, clean and exemplifies the suburb quality of sound that Columbia was able to achieve in the iconic E. 30th Street Studio "The Church".  Jacket has 1" seam split on top edge near opening, otherwise superb without notable wear. 

Matrix numbers in dead wax: Side 1 "XLP41762-1L", Side 2 "XLP41763-1K".
