A lively/mellow masterpiece. Yes … lively AND mellow. This one will change your outlook on life. Trust us. It’s that good. But caution, it’s like a gateway drug. One sample of this, and you’ll become a jazzhead. More than that, you’ll become a MILES head. You’ll just want more and more and more, and you will never stop… But it’s okay. If you’re addicted to Miles, you’re addicted to the baddest sh!t on the planet. Go on ... INDULGE YOUR CRAVINGS!!
Obviously this is one of my favorite Miles records. I have a copy of my own, and used to have the CD way back in the '90s and '00s, and I have listened to it dozens of times over the years. As much as I love his wild fusion period, you can't beat the bluesy, soulful tone of this album. It is lovely. Just listen to "Prayer (Oh Doctor Jesus)." It is frigging brilliant, and some of the most impressive music ever recorded.
But what about this record that I'm selling?
- It is the mono variant. On heavyweight vinyl. With deep-groove.
- It is the first edition. Yes, the first. The mono mix of this album was most recently reissued in 2012, for Record Store Day / Black Friday ... but this is the original.
- It has red Columbia labels & the six-eye logos.
- The stampers in the dead wax end in ‘2A’ which means it was very early out the Columbia assembly line.
- I've cleaned it with a Spin-Clean. Residual dust particles in the grooves still cause a bit of background noise, but the effect is minor ... and not at all bad for a record that's half a century old.

Vinyl Side B: VG+ (the beginning and end of Side B play like flawless ... but there are some background pops through parts of the middle)

Shipment cost depends on weight, and record weights vary. A 2LP double album counts as TWO records.

GRADING
Usually, VG++ is as high as you’ll see me go.
Near Mint is rare, usually play-test verified, and MINT is reserved for sealed items.
