Description
Original 1961first press Presige deep groove mono LP of the classic Steamin' with the Miles Davis Quintet, featuring John Coltrane, on Prestige 7200. Rudy Van Gelder production with his mark in the runoff. This copy has some significant marks that can be heard through most of side one, and less so on side two. The music still comes through nicely with no skips, but there is noise and ticks to be heard most of the way through side one, and on side two the music is mostly louder than the noise, but it can still be heard in the background, and occasionally ticks loud enough to be heard clearly. My ststem plays it all the way through pretty enjoyably, but admittedly it isn't a top copy. The cover is much nicer, with very little wear. A touch of edgewear along the open edge, with a little corner wear and a small discoloration at the top left on the back, but otherwise very nicely intact, with no seam splits or significant ringwear.
