MILES DAVIS "SEVEN STEPS TO HEAVEN" Vinyl LP Columbia PC 8851 (otherwise CS 8851 on sleeve) US Import (1974 Reissue)
First studio album featuring the precursor to "Second Great Quintet" featuring George Coleman, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Tony Williams.
Owned by me since purchase new, I've looked after it carefully, in a smoke-free home. I've probably played it only a few times.
The disc is in near mint condition except that the labels have had (red) labels removed where they covered the word "Columbia" (6 times). Where the label paper has lifted, I'd gone over it with a red marker. All of this, of course, doesn't affect play. NB The reason behind this is that when these US imports became readily available in the UK, any reference to "The Columbia Broadcasting System" had to be obscured as "Columbia" was trademarked here by EMI!
The sleeve is near mint except that the inner edges have some tape marks where a poly outer which was taped in has been carefully removed (a habit of mine, for most of my collection; the plus side is that the external condition of the sleeve has been better preserved, given its age).
I'll post in a sturdy mailer, with a Mobile Fidelity Original Master anti-static inner and a new "Blake" outer poly sleeve with sealable flap.
