MILES DAVIS-BITCHES BREW 1970 COLUMBIA RECORDS GATEFOLD 2 LP'S GP 26 1A/1A/1A/1A IN THE DEADWAX IN A STRONG VG+ CONDITION. MOSTLY CLEAN VINYL!! The first of its kind in this auction, yes, the very first jazz fusion album that is without question one of the best albums I've ever heard. And I've heard a ton of records. The band Miles employed on this record are all-stars of the highest order and this was when they were still mostly honing their chops.
Miles on trumpet of course, Joe Zawinul, John McLaughlin, Billy Cobham, Wayne Shorter, John DeJohnette, Chick Corea, Lenny White and Dave Holland all comprise the band in differing selections throughout the records. Truly a masterpiece and I hope that fan of the legendary man ends up with this extraordinary 2 lp set. Just wow!
The records are both in an easy VG+ condition and if it were not for 2 very light hairlines on side 2 and one on side 4 that definitely do not hamper play at all, I would have graded the vinyl on both records a VG++, both lay well throughout. The gatefold cover has minor wear along the edges, mild rubs on the corners and light ring wear / aging front and back. The original inner sleeves are both intact. An excellent buy!!
