Description
Hi! You're looking at a great condition vinyl LP on the Prestige Records label (reissued by Fantasy Records in 1974 in their 2-fer reissue series that ran through the 1970s) and an original MONO pressing of jazz recordings by trumpet player MILES DAVIS originally titled "Workin'" and "Steamin'" and reissued here under the title "Miles Davis: Workin' and Steamin'"--the album features tracks drawn from two marathon 1956 recording sessions with the classic lineup of JOHN COLTRANE on tenor saxophone, RED GARLAND on piano, PAUL CHAMBERS on bass and "PHILLY" JOE JONES on drums. The LP is a 1974 Prestige Records issue with the serial number PR 24034, a MONO only recording (there is no true stereo version of these recordings) and was made in the United States.
This LP is in great condition and the vinyl is in NEAR MINT- condition on record one and should play beautifully, with a few moderate scuffs and some light paper scuffs that should not significantly affect play, and i VG++ condition on record two with more moderate scuffs (especially on side four) which should still play extremely well, with possibly a few light pops in a couple of places but no other significant flaws; the deluxe gatefold cover is in NM- condition with two small transparent pieces of reinforcing tape on the lower opening tips, very light ringwear on the front surface and just light shelfwear otherwise but no other significant flaws--it's NOT a cutout! The two ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVES are included and in excellent shape wiht small pieces of transparent reinforcing tape on the lower center edges--the first sleeve includes advertisements for Fantasy, Prestige and Milestone 2 LP Sets.

Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded)
Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.
Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.
Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.
Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.
Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches. Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.
Very Good Minus (VG-) A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.
Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.
Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes).
