Rick Otcasek and Benjamin Orr met in Columbus, Ohio. They formed a duo and played around town, but felt that a change to Boston would be beneficial. There they met Greg Hawks and along with Jas Goodkind formed the band “Milkwood”. They later became superstars as “The Cars”. But, make no comparison to their later selves. One album was recorded and released on the Paramount label with a folkish sound along the lines of “Appaloosa”, “Batdorf and Rodney” or “Big Lost Rainbow”. Acoustic guitars and three part harmonies. Ric says he regrets making this album, but everybody has a start somewhere. And this album isn’t bad at all, just don’t expect music anything like the “Cars”.

 

The cover has some slight wear and creases with a small drill hole upper left. The record plays with some light ticks here and there, but overall VG++. A rare score for "Cars" fans.
