This week I have up for auction a tremendous list of well over 300 titles of which a great deal rarely ever turn up for sale, especially in such great condition! Auction is for an ULTRA RARE ORIGINAL U.K. PRESSING of MILLIE SMALL & OTHER SKA ARTISTS' "SKA AT THE JAMAICA PLAYBOY CLUB" LP from 1966 on Island Records (Cat. #ILP 930). Wow… this is one that hardly ever comes up for sale... especially in such nice condition! This record doesn't need much introduction, a classic and essential ska release with Millie Small contributing 4 out of 14 tracks and also featuring Ernest Ranglin's "Exodus Ska" (my personal favourite), The Maytals, Carlos Malcolm, Justin Hines, Keith Stewart, Jimmy Cliff and more. Considered a "holy grail" to collectors, whenever it does come up for sale it's usually a well played copy. This copy however is the nicest to be offered on eBay in years as far as I can tell ie. popsike, google, etc. Cover has mild creasing at top left and bottom right corners, slightest 3/4" wear at centre of spine (absolutely no splitting) and some light laminate lift in a few spots (mostly top left corner on front/back). Vinyl has some very light pressing dimples in a couple areas which, as most collectors of this stuff know, is very common to most of these early Island releases and is just due to the pressing itself. Other then that, the vinyl is immaculate… a beautiful NM copy! It may be a long time before a comparable copy comes up for sale… don't miss out!

Condition of Cover/Vinyl is VG++ / NM.

*EVERY package with a value of $200 or more will require registered XpressPost service with tracking (buyer to pay actual cost - please inquire for the specific rates). XpressPost within Canada can cost as little as a few dollars more while a package to the U.S. is approx. $20 more and for International destinations rates start at about $50 for 1 LP ($60+ for Japan, Australia, Asia, etc). Please note that ALL International packages over 2kg ship via XpressPost (as small packet air is only for parcels under 2kg) hence International postage rates almost doubling at 2-3kg's as listed above.
