NATHAN MILSTEIN TCHAIKOVSKY Violin Concerto in D Major 1960 SP-8512 1st press Dead Wax Side 1: 1S SP7 8512 D4 #2 Dead Wax Side 2: SP2 8572- D5
Vinyl: looks NM plays VG++ I play graded it twice because it looks NM (with no noticeable defects) so I was hoping with some extra cleaning I could get it there, but it's (in my opinion) a VG++ (a strong VG+) Side 1: plays VG++/EX Side 2: plays VG+ at the start. The music is soft & you can hear some surface sounds. The music is louder in the 2nd half & plays VG++/EX. Sleeve: VG+ I carefully & invisibly glue repaired a 2+" split at the top edge. Most people would not even notice the repair. I take a lot of care to do a good, clean, job. There is also a notation in ink near the bottom back by the spine Orig Inner Sleeve: VG++ plus an audiophile inner which the record is now in.

EX plays just a little short of NM. Or may play NM but looks worse.
VG++ A very strong VG+
VG+ Used but not abused. Will have audible imperfections but no serious problems.
VG A well used record that still sounds OK but will have pops &/or surface noise but nowhere near the volume of the music
VG- A very worn record that plays through without repeating or has a skip that loses more than a couple of notes/words.
It will have defects that will be noted.
