Description

The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid.  The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's.  An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored.  These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay.  With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await.  My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner.  I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed.  I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find.   All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Atlantic deep groove MONO vinyl LP 1269 - released 1957 
VG + + vinyl has a few superficial sleeve marks but overall retains newish sheen and gloss.  May have been played once or twice previously.  Test played once on NAD C555 turntable revealed mostly clear concise analogue sound.  A few passages had an isolated light click and occasional light surface, but overall this is a quality pressing.  The (EX) beautiful and sturdy laminated cover has light shelf wear and a slight bow.  The near bone white rear cover has a modicum of upper edge discoloration consistent with age.  With Quincy Jones arranging and the ace sidemen included here, this is a classic addition to Milt Jackson's canon and legend.
