MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND RCA Records very first Mono press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1957 by RCA Records, catalog number CME-118, with machine etched matrix numbers CME/118/A in Side A and CME/118/A in Side B, with black/silver RCA Records labels, with silver “RCA Victor” and “dog”. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!! Amazing rarity for all early rock’n’roll lovers, fans and collectors, Milton Allen and Bob Jaxon in one EP!!!
I’m not sure if this EP was released in some other country, the songs correspond to 2 singles released in USA in 1957, and the same year we got them released here in Chile but together in this EP. Someone could wonder how can I know this EP was really released in 1957, because the year isn’t informed. The answer is very simple, the “CME-117” EP of Elvis Presley was released in 1957 and this is the next EP of the Chilean RCA catalog (!!!). So, maybe and only maybe this EP originally could have a picture sleeve as usual for Chilean RCA code “CME”, but I’ve not seen one yet, so I can’t say. In Side A it’s the original RCA USA single 47-6994 and in Side B the single 47-6945. You can also see that in Side A the songs of the original single (with “Lover A, Love A Lover” as Side A) are in inverted order. In labels the song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and in the case of Bob Jaxon with credits for “Jesse Stone’s Orchestra And Chorus”. So, here you have the chance to own this UNIQUE EP WITH MILTON ALLEN AND BOB JAXON, ONLY RELEASED IN CHILE!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!
This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in VG- or VG condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many scuffs, soft hairlines and some light scratches, which don’t affect play. Labels on both sides are in great EX- or EX condition, clean and clear, with some spindle hole wear, residues of a sticker in Side A (still sticky) and some text fading in Side B. The sound is in great VG+ or EX- condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, with a light background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile) and some soft crackles, and in VG- or VG condition the Side B, same condition as Side A but with more constant soft crackles, which don’t really cause major distraction from the experience to listen and enjoy this record from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE PRESS only released here in Chile, sure not for Minty minds or audiophiles, but still with a great sound quality after about 65 years, which will satisfy any serious collector!!! And don’t forget this EP was RELEASED ONLY IN CHILE!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!
Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…
Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile
_________________________________________________
We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK
We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
