RUNAWAY / I STILL LOVE YOU ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by MINA arranged by PINO PRESTI. Original US pressing on the TARA RECORDS label (TRA-108), from 1974. Obscure English vocal version and alternative mix of the cult Italian pop singer's "E Poi" track (retitled as RUNAWAY for the international market). Surprisingly groovy, with a country fried folk / soft rock / hippie funk ambience ;) Tullio De Piscopo is on drums / Shel Shapiro on guitars with René Aktuela Mantegna (of Italian prog group, Dedalus Trident label infamy) on congas and African percussion. Arrangements by Pino Presti who plays bass / fender rhodes and piano on this desirable version too. This stock issue has a B-side called I STILL LOVE YOU which was never on the more common promo US Tara label release. Our olive coloured Tara label single is maybe the most elusive pressing for Mina collectors. As it was aimed at establishing Mina on an international level, this was never released in Italy. Seldom comes up for sale. Rare 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is closer to shiny M- condition overall with a few hairlines / faint old pressing residue marks. One, mini (cosmetic only) pressing mark to outer deadwax / outer rim area of  the "I Still Love You' side that does not affect play in any way. Some light surface noises in places. Loud production sound too. Item taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of the soundclip. Record housed in plain white card sleeve with poly lined inner. Rare 45!!!
