CHARLES MINGUS PRESENTS THE QUINTET OF THE YEAR

VOGUE LABEL 1955 ORIGINAL FIRST UK PRESSING WITH WEST BROTHERS FULLY LAMINATED FLIP BACK SINGLE SLEEVE, IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

On the VOGUE MICROGROOVE label, I'm offering today this rare original 1955 first UK pressing of this classic jazz album which was recorded live in Toronto Canada in May 1953 and features some of the biggest jazz legends such as CHARLES MINGUS, CHARLIE PARKER, DIZZIE GILLESPIE, MAX ROACH & BUD POWELL and is titled "QUINTET OF THE YEAR JAZZ AT MASSEY HALL". 

The vinyl is in excellent condition showing just a few light marks which are superficial. Not an album that you see too often especially in excellent condition.  

The album comes complete with its original West Brothers fully laminated flip back single sleeve which is in very clean excellent condition. Needless to say there are no splits, unwanted writing etc.

 

   

The VINYL, The Vinyl visually looks barely played apart from a couple of light scuffs and it plays through with excellent audio. 

The SLEEVE, The fully laminated flip back single sleeve is very clean and free from splits or unwanted writing etc See the photos this is an extremely clean example.  

The LABELS, The labels are very clean, showing minimal spindle traces. Needless to say they are free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.

The INNER, The original patents pending emitex inner is clean and free from any unwanted writing etc.

 

 

I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
