Minnie Riperton has the distinction of being a true one hit wonder on the US Billboard charts with only one single making the Top 40, and that single reaching #1. "Lovin' You" did this in 1975. Riperton however had been recording for several years. This single, "Les Fleur" was her 1972 debut single and the only one released on GRT records. It failed to chart, and the album, Come To My Garden only climbed to 180 on the Billboard album chart. Both tracks were co-written by her husband Richard Rudolph. Riperton and her 5 octave vocal ranger, have helped inspire artists like Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. While she was not a consistent chart topper, her voice and her collective work has left an impact on the recording world. 
There is minimal wear on either side of the label. There are no stickers on either side's label. There is heavy black writing atop both labels on each side. The vinyl does show typical signs of playwear. There is some background noise, however I think this may just be from my turntable as the vinyl looks far cleaner then it sounds coming through the computer. You can listen to the actual record here.

*Please note - my turntable is a simple ION Profile LP simply for converting media. It is by no means a high end turntable and the sound quality will be MUCH better on a higher end turn table.
All records come with basic sleeves unless a factory or picture sleeve is indicated in the description. I do not use a grading system as I feel that everyone interprets it differently. For example, I see many records listed as being Near Mint, yet the label is torn or has writing on it. To me that is not near mint. I prefer to describe the record as best I can, post photos, and allow viewers to listen to the actual record as to determine for themselves how the record should be graded.
I ship using Media Mail at $3.00 and deliver the day of or after the payment is received. Please remember that shipping costs also include the cost of materials to ship the order. International shipping is available. The cost to ship this Internationally is $12.00.  I will also combine shipping. I try to keep shipping costs as low as possible.
I am happy to ship internationally, however I will not change the value of the record. There are many reasons for this. First, I enjoy selling records and do not want to jeopardize that. Second, I include a receipt with the order and if customs were to examine the package, they would see the difference. Third, if something were to happen to the item in shipping, I would refund the customers money, but then not be able to claim what was lost. Thanks you for understanding.
