MINOR THREAT

"Filler" 7"

( Dischord #3, 1981)

What more can be said about that record that hasn't been said already? MT first effort was a major and to me, their best one, it would change the face of US punk forever creating the straight-edge (sxe) thing in the process. Leader extraordinaire Ian Mackaye (later founded Fugazi) would be a stage character and a label owner that would set the rules for everyone that came after. Along SOA, TEEN IDLES and others, they quickly established DC harDCore on the map releasing killer 7"s (like their midwest friends from touch and go - fix, necros, negative approach) while Boston-based label Xclaim (ssd, dys,fu's) would rather release killer LPs. Anyway, record is in near mint shape, shiny and plays fine while the sleeve has the usual glue-dried up thingy and you can actually read "flex your head" so it's kinda cool, otherwise zero problem with this copy. A must for the punk, hardcore, kbd collector, straight-edge addict crowd. NO RESERVE, GOOD LUCK!

Sleeve//Record : EX//EX

GRADING : As we all know, grading is something very subjective. I grade conservatively to prevent any problems. All records are listened to and graded accordingly. Everything is stated. So here’s my own grading system : MINT means the record is still sealed. EX : the record/sleeve are like new. EX- would refer to a small problem (a barely noticeable tear/writing for example). VG++ : your usual used record, slight ringwear and or yellowing, some surface noise but nothing major. VG+ means that the sleeve has tears and possibly other issues, record has loud pops and/or shows surface noise.  G : Sleeve is in a bad shape, record doesn’t play well.
