We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Hard to find MANFRED MANN GROUP LP in glorious MONO MIXES format

Original 1965 first pressing of the last MANFRED MANN album with the original line up = Paul Jones as vocalist who left the band just after the release of this album...as a result the album was pressed only once and not widely distributed making it by far the most collectible and hardest to find album by the famed beatrock British invasion band who got away with the track included here "L.S.D." because their record company didn't know it was an hallucinogenic drug reference....

The history of this R&B Beat-rocker band founded by South African immigrant Manfred (Mann) in London included dynamic vocalist Paul Jones with a formidable backing unit responsible for "5-4-3-2-1"--rather a larger hit in Britain than elsewhere due to its status as the theme tune for Ready Steady Go!-- and the timeless smash "Do Wah Diddy Diddy." Jack Bruce, later of Cream, joined the band right before Paul Jones's last hit with the group, "Pretty Flamingo."

"Mann Made" released in 1965, while not the raw R&B based beatrock of their first album still has the edges and is just as much a virtuoso effort, and a surprisingly cohesive one, since the band was with inner strife among its members...Amomg the highlights are tracks like 'L.S.D.' which which probably set a precedent but presumably record companies in late 1965 were not yet aware of what these letters stand for...'Look Away' is two minutes and twenty seconds of upbeat bombast, and nicely arranged...'The Abominable Snowman' has some nifty organ and chime solos (maybe it's the "winter-tone" of that instrument that explains the title?) and cleverly located backing riffs that don't let the tune degenerate into boring 12-bar blues. And 'Bare Hug' subtly presages Jethro Tull's 1st Lp 'Serenade To A Cuckoo' by a good three years, presenting us the same type of mid-tempo shuffle with the flute taking a prominent position.

Apart from these, there's a couple songs on here that remind us of why Manfred Mann actually were successful - songs that will appeal to most anyone, like 'Hi-Lili Hi-Lo' and performed in such a spotlessly clean and devoted manner that it's actually hard to resist its catchiness. Also favored are cuts like 'I Really Do Believe', which show that Manfred Mann (not counting their instrumental workouts) are really at their best when they try to pull a Dave Clark Five: something loud, cheerful, unpretentious, and based on a good hookline. With 'I Really Do Believe', you'll just have to sing along, if only because there's no good reason not to. Oh, and 'Stormy Monday Blues' a piece of slow blues groove that doesn't need a lot of rough, overwhelming energy to it, and comes across well with some mildly amusing harmonica playing...

CONDITION: The cover: M- !  the 52 year old artifact is immaculate, flat & square with 4 sharp corners and vivid colors = there are no alarming problems reflecting a collectible look ... No split seams, no writing, no delete marks, etc.

The vinyl: M (-) stunning clean and sharp all over, no marks - plays perfect! MONO bold sound production ... both (mono) Ascot labels are super-clean
