Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1967 first pressing in RARE but equally glorious MONO which takes the production into a suitable thick punchy groove...different from the stereo issue...
A great pop-punk-psychedelic outfit from Denver, Colorado. Only the first 45 appears on their album which is recommended. They first formed in the Colorado area of the mid sixties when they specialised in playing GARAGE beat and R&B and they were a regular attraction at local frat parties. Almost unbelievably they were unearthed by Phil Spector who signed them to a management contract and a giant publicity campaign was planned but never really materialised.
For an album that was basically an afterthought, this is a strong, even if disjointed, effort. UNI Records picked up the group's first single, the catchy 'stoned' vaudevillian "That Acupulco Gold", written by group member Tim Gilbert and his songwriting partner John Carter, for national distribution, and quickly assembled an LP by the same name. The single reached #70 before radio programmers figured out the drug (high grade marijuana) reference, and the album became UNI's second LP release on their label.
The album is a mix of cool 60's teen garage-punk ("Absurd Bird", "Weatherman", "Discount City"), Buffalo Springfield nugget ("For What It's Worth"), and a gently psychedelicized version of "Baby I Need Your Lovin'"), and an essential psych nugget ("In My Mind Lives A Forest", and the orient-tinged "Snow and Ice and Burning Sand") ...all said, the selection almost guarantees that the listener will find the album worthwhile...

CONDITION: The cover: all solid, all over, MINT still in factory shrink wrapper = flat and square with NO delete marks, no bends, no writing and 4 sharp corners...as nice as you could ever expect...this cover is near impossible to find clean, it as not made to last and most surviving copies are worn out ...one here for the picky mint freaks, with all due respect :)
