Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +21,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. John Bassman Group were a late 60s Dutch group that recorded their only album in Germany on the A.S.P. label in 1970.
This is an excellent European psychedelic progressive CLASSIC, sung in English with Jefferson Airplane like female vocals and great fuzz guitars. 5 years after this album, two of the group members achieved international fame with the group "Pussycat."

and the "FAN-MAN" adds:
The John Bassman Group's album is relatively overlooked in the overflow of great 1970 era psych-rock LP's, and unfairly so when only for only lack of promotion.
Compared with "Shocking Blue in all fairness aside from "Venus" The John Bassman Group's only (PRIVATE PRESSING) LP is by far more consistent. Only one track could rate as "filler" ... otherwise virtually both sides of original material are preformed & rated for the collector-worthy nuggets
The Lp is a Heavy Dutch acid rock, sung in English, with some Jefferson Airplane moves, full of killer guitar work with effects, overall VERY fine! The late 60's Dutch sound is obviously of an unmistakable west coast style. That said, very few of the actual West Coast 60's bands issued an album this consistent.
Overall top psych-rock with great female vocals and killer fuzz guitar leads!
