Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1975 British first pressing featuring the scarce group photo inner sleeve... the peak of HAWKWIND ...the tripping machine finely oiled and throbbing tunes of intersteller spacerock travels....
One of the championed Hawkwind albums containing all the important Space Ritual members including the infamous LEMMY on distortion box affected BASS = the grinding motor that drove this bands sound ...
In 1975's 'Warrior on the Edge of Time' we have an amazing space-rock concept album based around wizards, space and psychic wars, awash with bellowing mellotron, mind bending sound effects and an ocean of reverb - truly a psychedelic masterpiece. One of the best things about this album is that the band take themselves very seriously; the lyrics are quite heady, the music and the integrity of the album as well is solid rock.
Every song on the album is a trip and the three spoken word tracks actually contribute greatly to the dark psychedelic vibe on the album. There are some definite highlights on the album though, the opening suite consisting of the first 2 tracks (Assault & Battery/The Golden Void) are probably the best on the album layered with grand sweeping mellotron and a triumphant upbeat feel. Opa-Loka is a great pacing hypnotica that draws heavily from krautrock's NEU! influences with that authoritative, simple yet flowing drumkit sound with flanged cymbals and a simple bass line. 'Spiral Galaxy 28948' is another amazing space adventure with a very strong sense of melody. Of course Hawkwind endures to this day but this remains their piece de resistance, and the ULTIMATE sonic Sci-fi / fantasy trip. A true classic.
