PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. ...Original 1971 first pressing very first album by TUCKY BUZZARD produced by The Rolling Stones Bill Wymam who also plays on the LP ...
These guys were THE END, the British crew who put out the famous psych Lp in 1969 ...Here, on the first Tucky Buzzard, they deliver a hard rock/blues rock sound featuring self composed material. Tucky Buzzard, were underestimated while being absolutely overlooked in the 70s' rock panorama...highlights on their first album are led by "Whiskey Eyes" and "Rolling Cloud", the latter featuring The Rolling Stones backing section (Bobby Keys & Jim Price), which gives the song a genuine flavor a la "Sticky Fingers" or "Exile on Main St."
Mick Taylor plays some guitar as guest as well.
Formed from the ashes of the group the End, Tucky Buzzard caught the attention of the Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman, who took the band under his wing and managed & produced the band. The band played in a style that can be best compared to contemporaries like Humble Pie, Cressida, UFO, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Rare Earth, Grand Funk Railroad, Warhorse, Bloodrock, Spooky Tooth, Cactus, Whitesnake, and Captain Beyond, with stinging, bluesy guitar riffs, heavy rhythms, swirling organ, and husky vocals. Honestly, we're surprised that Tucky Buzzard rarely gets mentioned at all in hard rock circles seeing as how good there first three albums are. This first album shows the band in raw, hard rockin' form. The band at the time was comprised of Jimmy Henderson on vocals, Terry Taylor and Paul Kendrick on guitar, Nick Graham on keyboards, David Brown on bass, and Chris Johnston on drums (who had replaced Paul Francis mid-way through the recording of the album). There's no shortage of classy hard bluesrock and early psychedelic prog moves on Tucky Buzzard #1A:
