Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1972 first pressing of a sreaming heavy boogie mover ... This was in the peak fays of the mighty Humble Pie, just after Peter Frampton jumped ship ... contains the uncensored "coke" spoon lyrics on "30 Days In the Hole"

SMOKIN' was Humble Pie's first post-Peter Frampton album. Co-founder and blues shouter par excellence Steve Marriott was thoroughly in charge here, and the result was the band's best-selling album. The idiom is basic, straight-ahead Stones/Faces style blues-rock, with occasional forays into Led Zeppelin-style heavy riffage.

Highlights include the smoking "Hot And Nasty", the dramatically slowed down take on "C'mon Everybody," a riotous "Roadrunner," and the wah-wah laden slow blues cooker "The Fixer." Then as well, "You're So Good for Me," begins as a delicate acoustic number, ultimately mutates into a full-bore rave-up.

When Peter Frampton left Humble Pie, the band he co-founded, the group replaced him with fireball guitarist Clem Clemson (ex - BAKERLOO). And Humble Pie grew a whole lot more raucous, more freewheeling and downright greasy. "Smokin' is a downright barn burner ...
