PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Released in 1975, about six months before the band achieved massive success, "Fighting" is simply a straight-up, no-holds-barred-crank-the-jams album. This is a LP with no weaknesses, just ten rock classics... hard to believe it borders on such obscurity.
Fighting was criminally ignored for years, but is simply superb, a brilliant slab of heavy blues rock, that really shows the band coming of age. Gone are the earlier old celtic ballads, and here rather are a straight dose of great rockers, and easily one's easily one of the bands best. "Rosalie" may be a Bob Seger written song, but Lizzy really make the most of their twin guitar blasting to give it new life as a hard rockin classic. "For Those Who Love To Live" is an uptempo great, fast paced and fun, much like the jovial "King's Vengeance", "Silver Dollar" or "Freedom Song". "Fighting My Way Back" is gritty the way only this Irish band could be gritty, angry and awesome. "Spirit Slips Away" is a wildcard, slow and considered, it's quite a hypnotic tune, and one fo the bands more memorable tunes. "Ballad Of The Hard Man" & "Wild One" are the real hard rockers, the former in particular being a nice thunderous closer to the album, rounding off what is easily Thin Lizzy's heaviest Lp. They were just 6 moths away from global stardom but FIGHTING is still one of the band's all-time greats, a fun-filled hard-hitting album, and most consistent...
