PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

The first BLUE CHEER was such a vital impact of powerhouse sound, people didn't know what to think of it in 1968 being the subject of much discussion as the 'heaviest' rock music anyone had ever heard.

Blue Cheer was named after a pure strand of LSD. Dickey Peterson (bass and vocals), Leigh Stephens (guitar), and Paul Whaley (drums) were unified musicians and impressive songwriters, they had a vision leading to a far different LOUD type of rock music than was being produced in the late 1960s.

The quintessential power trio set the foundation as the development of explosive rock music. They advertised themselves as the loudest rock ‘n’ roll band in the world and history notes their sound would reach the highest of sonic levels. Their instruments would include eyes and ears popping bank of twenty speakers each. They were also one of the few groups that Billy Graham banned from playing the Fillmore West.

Blue Cheer's mighty "Vincebus Eruptum" was their first album released in 1968. Highlighting in extensive feedback, overbearing guitar, and a sound both psychedelic and hard rock. The album struck hypnotic appeal with the record buying public reaching number 14 on the national charts.

The classic tune, “Summertime Blues,” would become Blue Cheer’s best known song and their BIG-hit reaching number 11 on the national charts. Featuring wild booming distortion guitar sound with a lot of reverb set against pulsing bass and thundering drums.

The primitive/crude production only served to enhance the track. In 1968 it caused an earthquake of groundbreaking chatter.

Blue Cheer would always improve other artist’s material. “Rock Me Baby” was a B.B. King tune. Dickie Peterson’s vocal remained true to the original blues interpretation and ran counterpoint to the guitar lines. Leigh Stephens was not a blues guitarist and certainly notably unlike B.B. King, knowing loud and louder churning in an interesting creative manner. Another old blues song, “Parchment Farm” was transitioned over to a heavy rock ‘n’ psych sound becoming a highly successful interpretation.

Blue Cheer was a hit their three self-penned songs. “Doctor Please” featuring frenetic drumming amid a volcano of roaring guitar exhibition . Stephens was not into a clean technical style. “Out Of Focus” featured impassioned vocals and some excellent bass playing by Peterson. Stephens improvises nasty flipped-out guitar leads and howling out of control feedback. “Second Time Around” includes pounding drum work amid extended guitar explosives being the best of Dickie Peterson's self- compositions.

Vincebus Eruptum marked the popular and creative zenith for Blue Cheer, yet their following 5 albums were loaded by redeeming  features, particularity 1968 "OutsideInside" and 1970 "New! Improved!" each containing plenty of brutal deliveries.
