If you are looking for a superior quality, high-end domestic reel-to-reel tape recorder, in MINT CONDITION, then look no further. This one is absolutely superb!
As you will see from the final picture below (which shows some of the machines I currently have in use) I am a serious collector of quality reel-to-reel tape recorders and can tell you from experience that the Sony TC 377 is right up there with the Akai 4000 range when it comes to looks, ease of use, and the ability to make top quality recordings. (I have no less than FIVE Sony machines in my collection!) The results achieved using good quality tape and the fast recording speed of 7.5 IPS are simply stunning. THE ‘HIGH VALUE’ PHILIPS REELS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH ARE INCLUDED IN THE SALE. (ONE SPOOL CONTAINS 1800ft OF GOOD QUALITY MAGNETIC RECORDING TAPE, THE OTHER IS THE MATCHING ‘TAKE-UP’ SPOOL).
This particular machine has been serviced very recently by the highly respected, specialist, reel-to-reel engineer GEOFF KREMMER of SERVICESOUND (see www.servicesound.com) and he has provided me with a six months warranty which IS transferable to the successful bidder, so please BID WITH TOTAL CONFIDENCE. The heads are in excellent condition with no sign of any wear and tear and all functions operate quietly, smoothly and exactly as they were designed to.

The classic wooden casing IS QUITE SIMPLY UNMARKED and gives that prestigious feel associated with Sony machines and the smart, silky, brushed aluminium facia is blemish free and confirms the quality of this ‘high end’ piece of kit.
THIS MACHINE CAN OPERATE EITHER VERTICALLY OR HORIZONTALLY AND HAS THE FAVOURABLE ‘SPRUNG REEL RETAINERS’ WHICH ARE FAR BETTER THAN THE RUBBER ONES WHICH TEND TO FALL OFF AND GET LOST.
