Description
ATRBH on Alpha Omega label. 1973 The Beatles four album box set "Beatles Vol 2". This is a stereo box set of 4 LP's. Please see the picture for the tracks.
The facts behind this and the Vol 1 set are as follows:
In January 1973, two pirated Beatles box sets appeared in the United States, Alpha Omega Volumes I & II: The Story Of The Beatles (Audio Tape Inc. ATRBH 3583). These four-LP collections were advertised on TV and radio stations in the Midwest and were sold by mail order. Instead of taking legal action, Capitol Records countered by putting out two official Beatles anthologies, The Beatles 1962-1966 (US: Apple SKBO 3403) andThe Beatles 1967-1970 (US: Apple SKBO 3404). However, in March, a $15 million lawsuit was filed by manager Allen Klein on behalf of George Harrison, along with Capitol and Apple Records, against the manufacturers and distributors of the bootleg package, and against American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., who had been advertising it.
This records in this set are in stunning mint condition. They all shine absolutely beautifully and have not a mark. The labels show no spindle marks and ahev no damage to or around the spindle holes at all.
The original white inner sleeves are in mint condition.
The box is in excellent condition. A couple of everso slight scuffs on the box edge but no rips, splits or tears, no dents and no writing.
Really lovely example of this rare, especially this Vol 2, box set.
