The Great VAN MORRISON
classic recording of
ASTRAL WEEKS
* Clean NM Vinyl Album with VG+ Cover (see grading below)
* Warner Bros. Famous "Palms of Burbank" Label
Astral Weeks received critical acclaim immediately upon its first release in 1968 and subsequently has been placed on numerous widely circulated lists of best albums of all time.
-1987 As part of their 20th anniversary, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it number seven on "The 100 Best Albums of the Last Twenty Years".
-1995 Mojo list of the 100 Best Albums ranked it as number two.
-2003 Ranked nineteenth on Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
-2001 Astral Weeks became and remains a cult favorite despite the fact that it failed to achieve significant mainstream sales success for decades; after 33 years, it finally achieved gold in 2001.
Music historian Andrew Ford compared its musical sophistication and commercial success to classical music – "neither instant nor evanescent: Astral Weeks will sell as many copies this year as it did in 1968 and has every year in between".

GOLDMINE GRADING
SEALED: Never opened...never played. Still in original shrink.
MINT : It should appear to be perfect. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains, labels or writing, tears or splits. Mint means perfect.
NM : Otherwise mint but has one or two tiny inconsequential flaws that do not affect play. Covers should be close to perfect with minor signs of wear or age just becoming evident: slight ring-wear, minor denting to a corner, or writing on the cover should all be noted properly.
EX+ : Close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and demanding collector.
EX : A used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear. Plays clean with no significant audible surface noise.
VG+ : The record has been handled and played infrequently or very carefully. Not too far from perfect. On a disc, there may be light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of a sleeve or the vinyl or some of the original luster may be lost. A slight scratch that did not affect play would be acceptably VG+ for most collectors.
VG : Record displays visible signs of handling and playing, such as loss of vinyl luster, light surface scratches, groove wear and spindle trails. Some audible surface noise, but should not overwhelm the musical experience. Usually a cover is VG when one or two of these problems are evident: ring wear, seam splits, bent corners, loss of gloss, stains, etc.
G : Well played with little luster and significant surface noise. Despite defects, record should still play all the way through without skipping. Several cover flaws will be apparent, but should not obliterate the artwork.
P : Any record or cover that does not qualify for the above Good grading should be seen as Poor. Several cover flaws.
