EARTH A.D. WOLF’S BLOOD by The Misfits. 1987 M-Pressing, medium purple cover, transluscent black vinyl, AUTOGRAPHED by Jerry Only and Robo.
This is an original M-press copy of the 1987 pressing of EARTH A.D. WOLF’S BLOOD by The Misfits. Signed on front cover by both Jerry Only and Robo.
Of all the Misfits and Samhain records I’m auctioning this week, this is the only one that I am not the original owner of. I bought it used in the mid 90s because it was signed by Jerry and Robo.
I take very good care of my records and this LP has not left my possession since I purchased it used in the mid 90s. The condition of the cover is VG+++, showing only minor wear. Please see pictures where I’m showing you close-ups of any flaws that are evident. The vinyl is a very clean NM. I’m usually super picky before declaring something NM, but I think this qualifies.
OTHER NOTES:
There is a small ring around the spindle hole.
Printed on translucent black vinyl (if you hold it up to a light, the light shows through).
This from Discogs, fits this pressing exactly:
“M-presses. These presses have an M2 or M3 in the deadwax to identify stamper. The vinyl is thin and translucent (not smokey, but very few have swirls). These are considered to have been pressed by Caroline. It is logical to assume that the earliest used the remaining Plan 9 jackets with light purple bricks (see 1. below).
“1.Medium purple jacket, light translucent vinyl, S̶̷M3 S̶̷ on a-side and M3 on b-side.”
Misfits Central says this is a 1st pressing, but that is likely not true. It is more likely that the jacket is from the initial printing, and the leftovers were used for this second vinyl pressing.
I have had some help with the excellent Facebook group known as Fiend Collectors to verify the pressing information of this copy.

Barcode: none
Matrix / Runout (A-side etchings): PL-902-A, and separately, a letter S superimposed over a letter A followed by an M3. And separately, a figure that looks a bit like a dollar sign, like this $ except 2 vertical cross marks through the S.
Matrix / Runout (B-side etchings): PL-902-B, and separately “M3”
Matrix / Runout (Stamped on both sides): “MASTERDISK” and “EDP” in a circle
