Description

New Seller, Old Records. Up for auction is an original 1st Pressing of the legendary Father of "Ghoul Punk" THE MISFITS, titled "EARTH A.D. LP. Issued on PLAN 9 Records. This copy has the lighter colored hair on center Ghouls face, referred to as the "GRAY HAIR". Also has the Masterdisc PL-902 EDP S9 Matrix. Has Plan 9 address on back cover with no mention of Caroline Records. Heavy and thick OPAQUE  vinyl pressing is MINT MINUS, outer cover jacket has some cover creases and bends and grades VG+.
MISFITS EARTH A.D. LP US Pressing On PLAN 9 RECORDS PL9-02, Nine Songs Lighter purple colored front cover with Gray Colored Ghouls Hair PL-902-A, PL-902-B, MASTERDISC EDP S9 Matrix Numbers Heavy and Thick Black Vinyl "OPAQUE" Colored Vinyl Pressing Has Plan 9 Record Label Address on back cover, no mention of Caroline Original 1st Pressing Cover with earliest matrix stampers.
According to MISFITS CENTRAL, the thick, heavy black vinyl "Opaque" colored pressing with the S9 matrix stampers along with the "Gray Hair" on the lighter purple front  cover, is the genuine 1st and earliest pressing. This LP Cover and Vinyl Album has  all four. This LP was pressed before any of the "rarer" colored vinyl pressings.
Visually 12" 33rpm Vinyl Record Album is MINT MINUS, a few light sleeve scuffs at worse. Super bright shine, sheen and near new looking bright hi-gloss. Plays super loud, crystal clear, ultra crisp and very close to brand new sounding clean. Center label is clean, brightly colored and looks very close to brand new. Center hole is sharp-cornered, no spindle marks, has typical pressing label cracks on one side.
Outer cover jacket has some light shelf wear and age wear, light ring wear near top edge on back cover, 3" - 4" inch crease at bottom left corner, 3" - 4" inch crease or bend at top right corner, light price sticker residue at top right corner, some shelf wear along bottom seam edge, decent spline and seams otherwise, A good, bad and evil cover which grades VG+. Includes factory issued clear thin poly inner sleeve.
