FEHLPRESSUNG - Im Jahr 1992 der Herausgeber Columbia, Vereinigte Staaten v. Amerika, hat das gleichnamige Album der Gruppe "Johnny Winter And" aus dem Jahr 1970 wieder als Vinyl-Ausgabe veröffentlichen wollen - Neuauflage. Die Plattenhüllen und Etiketten für die ganze Auflage sind gedruckt und in das Presswerk geschickt geworden, gleichzeitig haben die Ingenieure/Techniker dort die Aufgabe bekommen, die benötigten Matrizen - Negativabgüsse (Söhne) für beide Plattenseiten zu erzeugen, mit denen die Rillen beider Seiten in flüßige Plastik der zukünftigen LP Schalplatten geprägt werden. Aus irgendeinem Irrtum hat der Mastering Ingenieur ein falsches Master Tonband erwischt und zwar jenes mit der Matrizennummer 88561, mit der Aufnahme des Albums „One Voice“ der Gruppe Agnostic Front aus dem Jahr 1991. Nachdem er beide Seiten auf getrennten "Lacquerplatten" "geschnitten" hat, hat er festgestellt, daß die eingeritzte Matrizennummer nicht mit der im Auftrag gegebenen Nummer vom Album Johnny Winter And übereinstimmt. Statt den Fehler zu beheben - das richtige Master-Tonband zu besorgen und die beiden Seiten erneut zu schneiden - der Mastering-Ingenieur hat die im Ablaufbereich vorhandene Nummer durchgestrichen und die im Auftrag gegebenen Nummern 3022-1 A bzw. 3022-1 B eingeritzt. So sind die beiden Lacquerplatten zur Verzinkung gegangen, damit (zuerst Abguss Vater, dann Mutter/Mütter und schließlich) die Abgüsse (Sohne) erzeugt werden, mit denen die Schallplatten in Pressen fertig hergestellt werden. Am Ende ist eine gewisse Menge der so misserzeugten Platten hergestellt worden. Es existieren auch richtig hergestellte Exemplare - Johnny Winter And spielt richtigerweise auf beiden Seiten der Platten, die Hüllen und Etiketten sind gleich, sogar alle Etiketten haben dunkle Schatten/Flecken an Rändern - wahrscheinlich ein systematischer Druckfehler der ganzen Serie/Auflage.

MISPRESS - In 1992 the record company Columbia, United States v. America, wanted to re-release the group's album of the same name "Johnny Winter And" from 1970 as a vinyl edition - reissue. The record sleeves and labels for the entire edition have been printed and sent to the pressing plant, at the same time the engineers/technicians there have been given the task of producing the necessary matrices - negatives, stampers (sons) for both sides of the record, with which the grooves on both sides can be embossed into liquid plastic of the future LP records. By some mistake, the mastering engineer took a wrong master tape, namely the one with the matrix number 88561, with the recording of the album "One Voice" by the group Agnostic Front from 1991 on it. After "cutting" both sides on separate "lacquer plates" found that the scratched matrix number did not match the ordered number from the Johnny Winter And album. Instead of correcting the error - to get the correct master tape and cut the two sides anew - the mastering engineer crossed out the number present in the run-off area and etched the ordered matrix numbers 3022-1 A and 3022-1 B respectively. So the two lacquer plates went to galvanizing thus (first the father, then the mother/mothers and finally) the stampers (sons) are produced, with which the records are finished in presses. In the end, a certain amount of the mispressed vinyl records were made. Properly made copies also exist - Johnny Winter And plays correctly on both sides of the records, sleeves and labels are the same, even all centre labels have dark shadows/stains on edges - probably a systematic printing error of the whole series/edition.
