Description

MISSISSIPPI JOHN HURT                 

A very difficult album. This was the 1st album issued after his rediscovery in early 60s. Pressed up by Dick Spottswood on his own label in a very small edition (probably 500) on his Piedmont label (catalog # 13157, which was the next number after the last Paramount records 78 rpm release). Later pressed in a larger quantity on the Gryphon label (also pretty scarce but nowhere near the Piedmont pressing)

JACKET CONDITION VG+/++ slight wear upper left corner, bit of shelf wear-nothing terrible
