MISSISSIPPI JOHN HURT - Worried Blues (Vinyl LP, 2017) **NEW**
Mississippi John Hurt is a legend. His gentle syncopations and melodic grace never grow old. After an extended set of sessions with Atlanta's Okeh Records in 1928, only two tracks from which were released contemporaneously, John drifted back into obscurity for over 30 years, working odd jobs on the railroad, the river and the farm.  Then in the early 1960's he was "rediscovered" by bluesologists Dick Spottswood and Tom Hoskins, who made it a point to get more of John's material on record, and the rest is history.  The 16 tunes on this release were recorded November 27, 28 and December 12, 1964 in Washington, D.C. Includes download code.
