Walter Vincson, Lonnie Chatman and Bo Chatman were the Mississippi Shieks. A sensational guitar and fiddle country blues group who were very instrumental in popularizing the blues. Their biggest hit - Sitting On Top Of The World - became a blues standard by which many 1930s blues groups were measured. Here is their very first recording for the Okeh label from February, 1930.
Record has seen many plays. Shows moderate to heavy wear with some groove stripping which may cause vocals to blast. "A" side has an edge lam flake which extends right to the first groove, but is not into the music. "A" side also has one needle drop which plays through. "B" side has edge lam opposite the "A" side flake. Both labels show some spindle marks. Simply, a very well played record. Record plays about 60 / 40 (sound to noise), but still has many plays left.
