I found this LP in my private collection in storage.
SIDE ONE
Duke Ellingtion's CARAVAN and its famous long drum solo with Earl "Fatha" Hines on piano and Wesley Brown on string bass on the track's finale
SIDE TWO
Ed Graham's SONIC INVENTION drum spectacular
Side one is in good to excellent condition with some light surface scratches and smudges probably not audible. Side two is in fair to good condition with the exception that there is a very bad scratch that makes about 20% of this side unplayable. The scratch is near the beginning of side two. The disc has a slight edge warp.
I have posted a sample track from this album for free downloads at www.kkprofessionalsound.com on the DOWNLOADS page on the website. There are also other tracks from some of the other albums I have produced and engineered. Please feel free to download any of them.
Please note the auction does not include the jacket. The album jacket photograph above is for reference purposes only, no jacket included.
FROM THE M&K REALTIME RECORDS 1978 CATALOG:
Developed by Ken Kreisel (founder of Miller & Kreisel Sound/M&K Sound), the M&K RealTime Recording Process raises direct-to-disc recording to its ultimate in realism. First, the use of tape, compression, limiting and transformers are totally eliminated. Out go hiss, wow and flutter, and distortion.
On location and in M&K’s RealTime Records’ own direct-to-disc studios, live sound passes unscathed through specially modified transformerless condenser microphones and state-of-the-art D.C. coupled electronics to the conservatively rated 600-watt per channel Neumann disc cutter head driving stage of our highly modified disc cutting lathe. So music goes straight onto the lacquer master disc in realtime – simultaneous with its live performance. There is absolutely no overdubbing or even editing possible. All of the spontaneity and excitement of the moment are captured intact. Then, the lacquer master discs are flown directly to the Teldec pressing plant in West Germany for plating and pressing on the finest pure virgin vinyl.
The result are recordings that literally mirror the original performance, with all their dynamic range, detail, steep transients, stereo imaging, tonal balance, and ambiance preserved intact for your repeated enjoyment. On pristine pressings virtually free from pops and clicks so you hear realism you never realized your audio system could produce.
Shipping prices shown include insurance for shipments within the USA. For shipments outside the USA, insurance is included for the Priority Mail International option only. For all other international shipping options insurance is not available so buyer must assume responsibility if the item is lost or damaged in shipment.
I will be glad to autograph the record sleeve if you request.
