Original 196? MERIDIANA RECORDS pressing, cat. S.M.R. 501 - made in Italy.
Amazing Jazz Library recording by maestro M.Nascimbene on his own label and studio production Meridiana Records, released around late 60s. Probably the best volume from MELODIE E RITMI Library series and actually, like for R.Nicolosi's grail "ATMOSFERA", a complete original Jazz OST for the stage show "BELLINDA E IL MOSTRO". Line-up is unknown, but probably features Roberto Zappulla on drums and Roberto Pregadio at organ/piano, with the addiction of Franco Chiari (vibraphone) and Beppe Carta (contrabass). Dope Modal Jazz numbers from A side with the stunning boppish drums of "DUELLO" and the Piero Piccioni's Lounge Jazz styled "CANZONE PER BELLINDA". The visionary soundtrack theme "VIAGGIO DEL MIMO" and the blue jazzed "VIAGGIO DEL MENDICANTE". 2 different suites from the B side like the trippy atmospheric vibes of "FUGATO IN BLUE" and more rhythmical arrangements like the groovy Latin Jazz theme of "AFRO CUBAN SWING". Shades of S.Brugnolini's "GLI ARCANGELI" OST and Roberto Pregadio's Library "ORGANO+PIANO+SPINETTA".
