MOBY DICK & THE WHALERS-45-“I Love Her So” b/w “Only The Good Times”-Capitol City Sound #C141-Boss 1967 Texas Garage-Punk. A side is an organ/guitar dominated punker with a somewhat gutteral lead vocal; on the hook they sort of rip off Little Peggy March’s “I Will Follow Him”; The hook goes “I Love her I Love her I Love her” you almost wait for “And where she goes I’ll Follow...”. Has a brief cryptic lead guitar break followed by a slight organ break...strangely, by the conclusion, it gets Zombies-ish with what the organ is doing. B side is a somewhat cool and cryptic ballad with a sort of quick fuzz lead break reminding me of the Fever Tree’s “San Francisco Girls”. These guys actually appeared on National TV in 1968 on HAPPENING ’68...very rare Texas 45. Condition: Record is somewhere between VG+ and MINT-Minus; some light surface scuffs visible in certain light angles.
