Moby Grape is one of the finest albums to come out of the San Francisco psychedelic scene, filled with great songs and fresh ideas. They avoided long unfocused jams, no self-indulgent philosophy, and no attempts to sonically re-create the sounds of an acid trip.   Moby Grape was built around the brilliantly interwoven guitar work of Jerry Miller, Peter Lewis, and Skip Spence, and the clear, bright harmonies of all five members. Drummer Don Stevenson and bassist Bob Mosely sang equally as well as they held down the backbeat. As songwriters, Moby Grape blended driving rock & roll, well crafted pop, blues, country, and folk that was all their own, with a clever approach that reflected the 60's psychedelic era rock sound of many of the San Francisco and L.A. bands combined.
This "Sundazed" Re-Issue of Moby Grape's first LP is regarded as probably the best album and definitely among the best the west coast produced in the late 60's.
