Moby Grape *Moby Grape* Columbia 33LP 1967
Released in June 1967 this album was almost immediately infamous, partly because CBS had over hyped it and released 8 of the 13 cuts simultaneously on 45's, confusing radio DJ's. Only the frenetic "Omaha" charted. The album came with a poster of the band, and the album cover featured Stevenson with a middle finger extended (later airbrushed out), it was immediately controversial. By he time the dust settled, nobody was listening to the music.
I bought this copy at the Audio Club (PX) in Stuttgart, Germany. All we had to entertain ourselves was our stereos. It was listened to, and dragged all over the world. The finger is there, though.
Vinyl is processed through an ultrasonic bath prior to shipping.
