Mod youth culture - music and fashion - exploded in the UK in the early 1960s and spread through the decade to include the USA. The term 'Mod' came from the fashion side and the clothes worn by beatnik fans of modern jazz, but the music of the movement was rooted in soul and R'&'B, embracing ska and beat-pop. The ten specially selected double AA side 7" singles in this box pull together twenty of the most diverse and exciting tracks of the golden era of Mod.
