Description

Having sold most of my Mod Revival vinyl and CDs I am now selling the last of my original cassettes. This is a bit of a niche market but these are all genuine releases or fan club items from the early to mid 1980s.
There are 2 Small World fan club only cassettes from 1984 - Live in Cardiff and Live at the Hope and Anchor. There are 26 tracks in total. The recordings are average quality but at the time they were a wonderful thing to own as the band had only released 2 official singles and their songs were very hard to get hold off.
The Swinging Radio England cassette was released on 7th July 1988 by the same people I believe, who published the Phoenix List. It is a decent recording of a radio broadcast.
This Way to the Gents was The Gents first official release, a 9 track album that preceded the official album. There are some great versions of songs that we know and love.
Mind The Threads John is a 4 track official release from 1984/5? It was their first official release.
Yeh Yeh’s Read all about it is their first release from 1985. It has 4 tracks, including What the papers Say.
The rarest release I would imagine is the 5.30 DEMO which contains the original version of Catcher in the Rye plus 3 others. The 5.30 did go on to achieve a reasonable amount of success in the late 80s / early 90s and this is the very first thing they ever released.
I appreciate that not many people have cassette players these days (including me) but these cassettes would be a worthy addition to any Mod Revival collection.
