Description
**HUGELY RARE SLICE OF MOD / SOUL HISTORY*. HIS RAREST SINGLE AND INCREASINGLY HARD TO FIND ON EBAY.
Moanin' was released as a single in 1967 and is arguably Farlowes greatest recording. This song is killer all the way. The track begins with some backwards cymbal effects, tabla and some aggressive Brian Jones sitar runs, then come some lethal distorted guitar chords. Chris then takes over on vocal accompanied by a swinging brass section. Ever harder to source a copy and this one is a top playgrading copy. Sorry I dont have the original company sleeve, I believe I used it on a Small Faces single I sold years ago. I have included a battered correct company sleeve but the record has been stored well in a hard card sleeve and poly outer sleeve.
FROM A MONUMENTAL PRIVATE COLLECTION OF THE RAREST AND OBSCURE MOD, SOUL, PSYCHEDELIC AND BEAT/FREAKBEAT SINGLES (OTHER SINGLES LISTED). IF YOU ARE A COLLECTOR OF MOD, SOUL, PSYCH /FREAKBEAT YOU WILL RARELY SEE ANOTHER COLLECTION LIKE THIS
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS THE 1967 ORIGINAL UK FIRST PRESSING OF THE SINGLE.
THIS RECORD PLAYGRADES IN EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION (EX+)
THE RECORD HAS SURVIVED WITH MINIMAL SCUFFING AND GLOSSY VINYL
THE LABELS HAVE SOME VERY MINOR AGE RELATED RING WEAR SO GRADE AT EXCELLENT. THE CORRECT KT TYAX CODE IS STAMPED ONTO SIDE 'A' LABEL
THE RECORD COMES IN AN ORIGINAL (BUT BATTERED IMMEDIATE COMPANY SLEEVE - NOT ITS ORIGINAL SLEEVE) AND IS HOUSED IN A NEW PLAIN HARD WHITE SLEEVE FROM WHICH IT HAS BEEN STORED IN A PET AND SMOKE FREE HOME.
IT ALSO COMES IN A POLY SLEEVE AND HAS BEEN STORED CORRECTLY.
