Philips 25PJ34, nice Japanese reissue of this rare Swedish LP. Condition of jacket is M-, condition of vinyl is VG+ (occasional low surface noise). The recordings date from August 1964. Although Bill Evans was not in a state of good health at the time of his visit in Sweden (including a gig at the “Gyllene Cirkeln” in Stockholm) his collaboration with Monica Zetterlund is one of those rare events in jazz when two geniuses meet to create a masterpiece. Special gems on this record are the songs in Swedish language (including “Waltz For Debbie” with new lyrics written by Beppe Wolgers), a seldom-recorded original tune by Harold Arlen (“So Long Big Time”), and a stunning version of “Some Other Time”.
