MONICA ZETTERLUND Swedish Sensation (Columbia 33CSX 20) RARE 1958 UK 1st Pressing MINT-
Original RARE UK MONO debut album by the great Swedish jazz singer Monica Zetterlund on Columbia Records (December 1958). 
On the twelve compositions included, Zetterlund is accompanied by members of the Gunnar Svensson Orchestra, featuring some of the most accomplished Swedish jazz-soloists of that era, among them Arne Domnerus on alto-sax, Ake Persson on trombone and Gunnar Svensson himself on piano. All the tracks were recorded during the same sessions that produced the four-track EP of the same name. "The new American trumpet star" (liner notes) Donald Byrd is featured on two compositions included herein: "Spring Is Here" and "Easy Living".

EX(+) SLEEVE in very fine all-round condition. Please see photos for details.

- Original full-colour flipback-style sleeve in near-pristine condition.

- Minor wear and bumping to the corners, especially at bottom.

- Slight corner bend to front cover, at top right.

- Tiny chip of missing laminate at top left.

- Also includes the original poly-lined, custom-printed inner sleeve.


MINT(-) RECORD that looks unplayed. A practically impossible find in this condition!
- Perfect vinyl on both sides, with impeccable audio reproduction throughout.
- No hairlines, scuffs or any other signs of previous play whatsoever.

- Original dark green Columbia Records labels with full gloss and no spindle wear at all.

- Record weight: 165 grams.

- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "XCSX 110 - 1" and "XCSX 111 - 1".

- Mothers/Stampers: "1 / G" on Side One and "1 / G" on Side Two. The very first UK pressing made.

- Certified to be an original, UK first pressing of Monica Zetterlund`s "Swedish Sensation" album, released in December 1958.
